How to get there

There are no direct flights to Vigan with the nearest airport being in Laoag which is the capital city of the Ilocos Norte region. Philippine Airlines (PAL) fly to Laoag from Manila two times a day with the flight taking approximately one hour.

Manila to Vigan is just over 420kms and will take you around 8 hours if you drive non stop. There are a number of places you can stop off along the way to take a quick break which is highly recommended.

If you fly into Laoag, you can take a bus to Vigan which is about 80kms away and will take about two hours.

If coming from Manila, there are several bus lines to choose from with the price one way around P800.

Dezza´s Tip

The Northwestern coast of Luzon has some fantastic places to visit. One thing I seriously recommend is doing a North Luzon road trip. You can head up to Vigan from Manila and stay for a night and then continue on up to Pagudpud via Paoay. There are some great sights along the way and you can stop whenever and wherever you like.
