The Bangui Windmills are in Bangui, Ilocos Norte. The wind turbines run all the way along the coast, almost as far as the eye can see. They are a very famous landmark, and they are also a good source of alternative energy for the area, so it is good to see this kind of system being used in the Philippines. You can see them spinning from Saud Beach in Pagudpud.
The beach along here is not as nice as Saud Beach or the Blue Lagoon. The sand is a greyish brown with quite a lot of small stones in it, but it is not too bad to walk on and the water is reasonably smooth. The water is nice, clean and clear. There was hardly anybody there when I visited, which is typical of Ilocos Norte. It is another place in the Philippines that offers a lot and still has few people.
Visit it the day after Pagudpud, or on your way back. You do not need long here, so use it as a photo stop.
