Northern Mindanao, also known as Region X, covers the north coast of Mindanao. It has five provinces: Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental and Misamis Oriental, with Cagayan de Oro as the regional centre. It is a region of waterfalls, highlands and the volcanic island of Camiguin.
