Best places Central Luzon Philippines

Central Luzon, designated as Region III, is an administrative region in the Philippines. Central Luzon contains the largest plain in the country and produces most of the country’s rice supply. As a result, it has earnt itself the nickname “Rice Granary of the Philippines”. Some parts of Central Luzon can be reached within a one-hour drive of Manila.

The region offers a very diverse landscape ranging from the golden sand beaches of Potipot Island, the rugged mountains of Zambales that are home to Mt. Pinatubo, the cause of the second largest volcanic eruption of the 20th century, the vast cave networks of Biak Na Bato.

Further up on the North East coast, powered by the Pacific Ocean, are the awesome surf waves of Baler, as well as the lesser-known, but more beautiful Dinadiawan.

Then, of course, you have the well-developed infrastructure in Clark and Subic, both playing former hosts of the US military.  Here are some of the places I have been to throughout this amazing region.
