The Davao Region, also known as Region XI, sits in the south-east corner of Mindanao. It covers five provinces: Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Occidental and Davao Oriental, with Davao City as the regional centre. It is home to Mount Apo, the highest mountain in the Philippines, and to island getaways just off the coast.
