Eastern Visayas, also known as Region VIII, is made up of the islands of Leyte, Samar and Biliran on the eastern edge of the Visayas. It covers six provinces: Biliran, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Northern Samar, Samar and Southern Leyte, with Tacloban City as the regional centre. It faces the Pacific Ocean, and it is known for its long coastline, caves, surf and a deep wartime history.
More to come
I have not been to this region yet, so there are no places to show you here for now. I plan to visit eventually, and when I do, you will find my guides right here. More to come.
