The Bicol Region, also known as Region V, is the south-eastern tail of Luzon. It covers six provinces: Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Masbate and Sorsogon, with Legazpi City as the regional centre. It is the land of the perfect cone of Mayon Volcano, and of whale sharks, surf and spicy food.
