MIMAROPA, also known as Region IV-B, takes its name from its island provinces: Mindoro (Occidental and Oriental), Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan. Calapan City in Oriental Mindoro is the regional centre. It stretches from the beaches just south of Manila out to Palawan, voted the most beautiful island in the world.
